Introduction.

Hello. This is the production and research blog for Sunset Productions, an A Level group consisting of Chloe Franklin and Stevie Smithers. We are fans of romantic films but we realised that pre-existing films of that genre are often lighthearted and comedic, which do not display darker themes. We wanted to expand on that idea by combining the genres of romance and thriller. Following this, we decided to create a movie trailer for our A Level project, called The Last Victim.

The Last Victim is a film which depicts the relationship between lies and love. Our movie has a message which shows how choices, no matter how good or bad, can affect the lives (and deaths) of others. We used post-modern elements to make our film unique, including themes of supernatural ability, which we aim show through our editing, camera and sound. We also plan to use costumes and props to show characters, as well as using different theories to help our narrative and representations.
